Bendaroos
A few months ago I had a huge problem with my daughter writing on EVERYTHING. She was constantly tagging things with her initial, a big M. No amount of time outs helped mitigate this behavior, so I realized that I had to redirect her attention onto something else (and hide the Sharpies behind lock and key!)
I reached for Bendaroos. These flexible building sticks provide kids with a unique way to express their creativity, and that is exactly what my daughter needed. Made from colored string coated with a special wax, Bendaroos building sticks allow children to bend, twist, and shape 2-D and 3-D creations that will adhere to most surfaces. Bendaroos are mess-free and reusable – they always hold their shape but can be re-molded and used again and again. They foster imagination and hands-on learning in children of all ages, making them the perfect toy to use in the classroom, as well as at home.
Bendaroos are hailed by industry experts and parents alike due to their affordable price tag (under $20) and ability to stimulate children’s imaginations. An industry favorite, the Bendaroos brand won several industry awards in 2009, including the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Award, iParenting Media Award, the National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, and the Creative Child Preferred Choice Award.
Bendaroos building sticks can be found at major retailers nationwide such as Toys “R” Us, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and Kmart. For more information, or for additional ideas, games and activities using Bendaroos, please visit www.BendaroosFun.com. New Bendaroos items for spring include a creativity center for sculpting, handy molding tools, and “glow” varieties, bringing even more creativity to homes and classrooms across America!
