The blogs I checked out have great web design and photography, or they seem to know everyone/have tons of connections. And – the writing is really great. There are others out there that are very popular that I can’t figure out why. To each his own, I guess! The link I submitted up top got the most traffic I’ve ever had for a post that didn’t involve a birth of my child or my running a marathon – not stuff I can do a lot! It’s also a serious post, whereas most of my posts are humorous. At least, I think they’re funny. So I found that to be interesting.

I actually started analyzing some of the other frugal mom bloggers right after the Disney Social Media Moms Conference. I found that the most popular frugal blog is not on Wordpress (she still uses Blogger like me) and the blog is very simple and plain (no plugins and and no colors).
