Do you let your kids help in the kitchen?

I do. I find they’re much more likely to eat whatever they make, plus, it’s a learning experience. Maya is learning about fractions, for instance, and using a measuring cup is great practice. Maura loves to do more tactile things, like sprinkle cheese or drizzle chocolate on desserts.

  1. They help to do simple tasks – measuring, making sandwiches, etc. Hopefully as they get older they’ll help out more (and enjoy helping out still) =)
