Feed the Pig
I just found out about this site called Feed the Pig. Funny name, huh? It encourages young adults to take small steps toward building a solid financial future… to feed their own personal piggy bank. The site provides tons of easy tips for building savings, fun tools, a quiz, and other resources.

Now let’s talk about the facts. According to a study commissioned by the AICPA – for every dollar of assets owned by 25-34 years old in the United States, they are carrying 70 cents worth of debt. Calculating just how much debt I have would give me a headache, but I’m certain I could be included in that statistic.
On Feed the Pig you’ll meet “spokespig” Benjamin Bankes who urges these young adults (like me!) to spend within or below their means. The website provides interactive tools to help young adults proactively change their spending habits and measure the impact of current habits on future savings. These tools provide young adults with a reality check while empowering them to take simple actions to change their behaviors regarding money to start saving today.
To spread the word, Feed the Pig is giving two of my readers a fun prize pack that includes a Piggy Bank, Stress Ball, Key Chain, and a Weepul (a fuzzy little toy).

One hint I found for shopping habits, is to find an item you like, try on to verify size, make not of all info for ordering and check online. Often a hge savings by ordering same product online.
