New HALLS Refresh {review}

You can usually always find some HALLS cough drops in my purse or my medicine cabinet. They have a long shelf life, so I tend to buy a bag when I see a flavor that interests me or when they’re on sale.

HALLS Refresh is a new kind of HALLS. It’s not a cough drop, it’s actually meant to moisten your mouth! Dry mouth can be due to dehydration, smoking, a side effect of certain medications, or just a condition in itself, and is uncomfortable, to say the least. These candies have the refreshing sensation that HALLS is known for – you know how when you have a HALLs cough drop in your mouth, and inhale deeply, a coolness just fills you up inside – but also moisten your mouth.

There are three varieties with this Advanced Moisture Action formula. I’ve tried the Tropical Wave and Juicy Strawberry; Refreshing Mint is another option. I can’t pinpoint a specific fruit that Tropical Wave tastes like – something like a combination of papaya and mango. Juicy Strawberry is my favorite of the two, with its sweet berry flavor.

For those with a restricted sugar intake, like diabetics, HALLS Refresh are sugar-free! Not carb-free, with 3 grams per drop, but only 6 calories and no sugar.
