Snapily – add movement to your photos!

snaplogoYou’ve probably heard of about a dozen or so online photo-printing sites, right? Well, I’ve got another one for you: Snapily.

Snapily is not just any ol’ photo service, however. They use special effects to “bring your photos to life” in a manner that I haven’t seen anywhere else! Although the Snapily service itself is new, its parent company, HumanEyes Technologies, has been selling lenticular software to commercial printers for years. I read about this service recently in the New York Times gadget blog, and I was intrigued!

The Snapily website is easy to navigate, and ordering is a breeze: select a design, customize it, and order your product. Three steps is all it takes to turn your photos into a “Living Print”, which you then can apply to greeting cards, scrapbook pages, notebooks, and more!

There are several special effects to choose from:

  • 3D special effect: Adds depth to your photo, no special glasses necessary!
  • Morph effect: Perfect for showing your friends and family how much your kids have grown.
  • Flip effect: Lets you combine your memories into one unforgettable image.
  • Video effect: Coming soon, you’ll also be able to turn 2 seconds of video into a photo creation.

I was able to take a look at a few samples of Snapily products, including a notebook, a few greeting cards, an invitation, and a scrapbook page… and I’m impressed. Give someone a product from Snapily, and it’s something that the recipient won’t soon forget! Products start at $3.99 for a greeting card, but you get a discount if you buy a higher quantity.

I like the notebook, which starts at $9.99, because it’s the most useful of all the products. The photo is part of the cover itself, not just inserted into it like the greeting cards. Photos don’t do the special effects justice, so below is a short video I created of one of the greeting cards so you can get an idea of just how Snapily works. This is the flip effect:

If you’re looking for unique Valentine’s cards, Snapily’s got you covered. They offer a ton of different templates for Valentine’s Day, even “sexier” options if you’re into that kind of thing. Check out the site soon, though, because the deadline for ordering with regular shipping (and receiving by Valentine’s) is February 7th; the express shipping deadline is February 11th.

Giveaway is closed.

Snapily has graciously given me a $25 coupon code so that one of my readers can try out their service! To enter, visit Snapily.com and leave a comment on this post telling me what you’d buy with the $25 if you win. Hurry up, because this contest only runs for 3 days to make sure you get your code in time to order for Valentine’s Day!

  6. Wow! This is the coolest idea!!! I am loving the video being made into a card. That is the coolest thing I have seen.
I thought I might use the invitations for my daughters upcoming party, but I have a big family and a small budget, so I think I might buy a notebook and everyone can write something in it about her. I love that I can put a picture of her at birth, then at 1 year old and you can really see how she has grown. THanks for the giveaway and for introducing me to this product.

  18. thanks for the review! Fun site. I would definitely choose 3 packages of Biz cards… They come in packs of 20 for $7.99, so I could get 3 packs… I really like a couple of them, but probably would go with the STREET design. I also loved the 3D cards… so cute.. those are definitely cards one wouldn’t toss away!
