Take Care Clinics (special offer)

Giveaway is closed. Winners are listed here.

Take Care ClinicsTake Care Clinics, located in select Walgreens across the country, are walk-in, professional clinics that provide healthcare services for patients 18 months and older. Staffed with board-certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants, you can get treatment for everything from minor cuts and scrapes to adult vaccinations, and also receive complete health evaluations.

The great thing about these Take Care Clinics is that the treatment is affordable. If you have insurance, you just make a one-time copayment on the day you visit. If you don’t have insurance, cash payments average just $59-$80. As someone who didn’t have health insurance for a while, I know just how expensive, not to mention stressful, a simple doctor’s visit can be.

take careSchool just let out here last week, and I know many parents are getting ready to send their kids off to camp. For a limited time, the Take Care Clinics are offering half-priced camp physicals ($30) and free tips for staying healthy so that summer ailments and injuries can be prevented. These exams help to determine if a patient is able to safely participate in typical camp activities and include a complete review of the child’s health history and immunizations to ensure that they are up to date. If you’d like to take advantage of this offer, find a Take Care Clinic near you!

  12. great, convenient, program! and thanks for the giveaway :)

  18. Bravo for this service!

This brings to mind again the need for a national health care plan in the US. EVERY CITIZEN should have health coverage. Its time for a national plan. Then this clinic would not be necessary.

  19. They don’t have any in my area, but they are expanding. And at many of the clinics, you can get prescribed a medicine on the spot.

  20. I subscribe to your RSS feeder via google

  21. There are over 330 Take Care Clinics throughout the country.

  22. As usual, Walgreen’s is an innovator in health care options.

    Thank you. :-)

  23. Wow-great to know they exist. Too bad, the nearest one to me is a too many miles away. I’m sure Walgreens will add more to the program.

  24. I first heard about these clinics on a national news show (I forgot which) and think it’s a great step in the progress of medical care. There isn’t one around me. I’m in Cali and the one furthest west is in Las Vegas, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they open up one in my area soon.

  25. I always want to find alternative items

  26. I love the Take Care clinics, Ive stopped in a few times when the kids had minor problems, a rash, bumps, etc. And they are so nice! Its also really convienent and Ive never had to wait long!

  33. How wonderful. I learned that they provide health evaluations and adult vaccines, like those that help protect against tetanus and prevent shingles, to help you stay healthy.

  34. I didn’t know they accepted so many insurance plans. That’s good to know.

  35. I thought it was for only people who was unisuranced. Its good to know that I can take my son or myself there for minor stuff.

  36. This is a wonderful idea. I don’t have a Walgreens nearby, but I’ve heard they might be building one soon.

  37. I love that Walgreens is taking such a positive step like this when the economy is in such bad shape, and people are really worried about losing their lifelong jobs, or have lost them. Medical care without coverage can be astoundingly frightening.
